CITIZENS CALLED TO DO THEIR CIVIC DUTY

Jury Duty Calls Citizens to Court the Law, While Pets Run Amok!

Justice might be blind, but now the eyes of the law have turned to the citizens themselves to decide the fate of Nomos’ most wanted criminals. Randomly selected jurors will be required to appear at court to listen to testimony, then give their verdict.

With the rise in crime, many of the hard working citizens praise the system, but grumble at the prospect of going to court. Be there or the long arm of the law will fine you for not doing your civic duty!

In other news! Due to the food shortages in Nomos Mammals without owners have resorted to random attacks on citizens to feed their hunger. Remember to lock your doors and keep an eye out for pets that need to be retrained at the pound!

  1. I for one am ecstatic at the new judicial developments. For once in this wretched city of NoMoS the citizens have been empowered against their oppressive government and the continual abuses of power by the Metropol Enforcement Division. This is a major evolution in our society and all future civilizations of our kind. Although serving your community can sometimes feel like a burden, in actuality it is one of the most Noble of callings. I encourage all citizens to be active in the re-structured judicial system 3.0, for it is the only way we can wrestle "innate rights of the individual" from the government back to their rightful owner, the people -

  3. Well, Metropol falls under the category of "Necessary Evil". I will state that the emphasis on those words varies depending on circumstances and attitudes of the officers involved. I am not going to claim superiority of my homeland over Nomos. The watch back home was frankly no better, and issues often got resolved deep in the forest by lone hunters like myself with no witnesses. Of course Nomos has bounty hunters, so maybe it's in reality the same as back home. And here I thought humans prided themselves on being better than that.....

    Food for thought.
